Projects > Quarantine Walk Drawings

The Quarantine Walk Drawings project consists of a series of drawings created on walks that started during the early part of the Covid 19 pandemic in March, 2020, and continued through March of 2021. The small drawings (46 in total) were all made in public and left in situ in neighborhoods (usually stapled to phone poles) at a walkable distance from Tubelle’s home in the Mission-Bernal area of San Francisco. Tubelle periodically visited the drawings over the next few years to document how they fared over time in terms of weathering (sun, rain, wind) and human factors (e.g. graffiti and vandalism). Almost all the drawings are no longer extant.
